Lily D'Olce’s  installations take shape in various types of textile scraps, collected in Europe and in Africa. They occur through a precise modeling of movement, figures and bodies, that spatially reflect internal dialogues around identity and resilience. They are transient and intrepid on the margins of remote, peri-urban environments. In isolation, torn materials find new graphic alignment, wrapped up in shiny, silky fabrics. Each decor is used to suggest restoration and reinvention. Through overlapping, elevating and stacking : slender figures rise as testaments of strength and possibility to personal and collective identities.
